Bright Poems For Dark Days
"Everything about this book is exquisite: the choice of poems, the thoughtful commentary about each inclusion and the uplifting illustrations. My spirit is lifted every time I open this beautiful work."

Reading for Well-Being
Can literature save you? People who engage in reading for well-being, sometimes called bibliotherapy, embrace the belief that attentive immersion in literature can reinvigorate the human mind. Words can provide a powerful antidote to stress, anxiety, and depression, and the study of poetry and other genres can complement more traditional forms of mental health treatment, such as counselling.
On this Bright Poems page, you’ll find a link to short videos on my YouTube channel showcasing poems and illustrations from Bright Poems for Dark Days: An Anthology for Hope. I believe in art’s transformative power. It shouldn’t be elitist, intimidating or inaccessible. I hope everyone who visits Art and Humanity will deepen their understanding of the positive impact poetry and other art can have on all human life.
