Founded by Dr. Julie Sutherland, Art & Humanity exists at the intersection of language, creativity, and community wellness. With a PhD in English Studies and Modern European Languages, Julie brings over two decades of experience in substantive and stylistic editing, project management, literary workshops, curriculum design, and teaching across continents. This work is grounded in her twin passions: the power of literature to inspire change, and the role of the arts in fostering individual and collective well-being.

Julie’s international work with writers, community members, and students reflects a belief that well-crafted stories and ideas can effect change in the human spirit, shift personal and public attitudes, and improve individual and community health. Through a range of services including literary consulting, workshops, and curriculum design, Art & Humanity supports writers, educators, and organizations in amplifying their voices and deepening their impact.
